Korean shoe sizes are written in millimeters, and clothing often uses numbers like 55, 66 or 95 instead of S, M, L. That is easy to miss when you shop in Myeongdong or order from a Korean online store, and the result is shoes that pinch or a shirt that fits like a crop top.

Tips before you buy
- Measure your foot length in millimeters (heel to longest toe) — Korean shoe sizes are based on that number, so it is the most reliable way to choose.
- “F” or “Free size” on a label means one size meant to fit most people, usually close to Korean 55-66 for women and 95-100 for men.
- Many Korean brands cut slimmer than US brands. If you are between sizes, go one size up and check the brand’s own chart.
Charts are approximate conversions. Brands and fits differ, so treat them as a starting point.
